CLUTCH DISC
SPRING DISC
The most common type of clutch disc. Some models are single disc, others are re-enforced
with double spring. The clutch disc has a dampening system that reduces the vibrations from
the engine when engaging the clutch.
MULTI-SPRING DISC
Some applications require a clutch disc that is capable of reducing the noise and vibrations
even further. These vehicles require a disc with multiple levels of dampening, which uses two
rows of springs.
RIGID DISCS
These are disc that do not have any springs. Traditionally they were used in small vehicles or
light trucks with less than 50hp. Most recently they are used with applications that use a DUAL
MASS FLYWHEEL; where the dampening has been transferred from the disc to the flywheel.
CERAMIC BUTTON DISC
The ceramic button has the capacity to resist heat better than the organic disc. Due to the
ceramic button; this disc is capable of transmitting large amount of torque. Used mostly in
high performance or racing applications.
